Natalie has made it to 36 weeks – the last of the big milestones we were hoping for with this pregnancy.  That means more likely than not, we are out of the woods if this baby decides to come a little earlier than the standard 40.

I gave Nat her last progesterone shot at the end of last week.  She is certainly happy to be done with those.  But with the end of that regimen comes the uncertainty of what happens next.  Were the shots really responsible for getting us this far? Or was Loren’s preemie ordeal a fluke?  Should we expect labor at the end of this week without the shots? Or will Nat make it to 40 weeks or beyond and baffle us all?

We have no idea what will happen next, but because we’ve made it this far we can rest assured that we’ll have a (mostly) full-term baby on our hands whenever it decides to come.

I’m no longer hobbled, thank goodness.  Which means I’m back in project mode this week.  It’s amazing how much I take for granted just being able to get out of the house and walk around.  We’re still taking it easy, on account of the heat and the big belly and all, but we’re doing things again.  What a relief.

We’ve been experimenting with getting Loren involved in the kitchen.  He certainly has the interest.  He mostly stirs and pours (he has his mama’s pouring skills it seems).

He also tastes everything.  Even raw rhubarb.

Which is rather tart, as you can see.

We’re getting close on the bedroom build out.  Even have some paint up and a few decorations.  Here’s a little sneak peak of the second baby room:

We used pages from Ezra Jack Keatt’s Whistle for Willie – a household favorite.

It was very hard narrowing it down to just two pictures.  I could wallpaper a room in his work.

More to come later.
